The best decision you'll make today!
The VS ladies are the thoroughbreds of the modeling world. Tall, perfectly sculpted and ready to charge down a runway to screaming crowds. But amongst our feeling of admiration and a tinge of jealously (okay a lot) the same question arises. What is Victoria’s secret!?
Turns out their beauty secret to a banging bod and girl next-door skin is very simple and inexpensive.
Drink plenty of water. Yawn. We’ve heard that numerous times before but it’s not just grabbing a cup and glugging it down – they have strategic ways to hydrate their body so that skin glows and your body looks lean.
Here’s how to do it at home:
Eat your water
Raw fruits and vegetables have a high density of water content. Watermelon, cucumber and celery have an over 90% water content and is much more concentrated than water. This helps it to penetrate the cells quicker and will stay there much longer too.
Hot water, lemon and little turmeric – let it be your tonic!
It might not measure up to a hot chocolate, but turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, which helps to de-puff not only your face but your body too. If you can bear the taste
It’s super important to hydrate your skin too and ensure that your don’t have a scrap of make-up left before you go to bed. Linger make-up particles can clog pores, but they’re also a blocker for skin’s natural regeneration process overnight.
They don’t just consume water, but bathing in a bath full of Epsom salts help to stimulate lymphatic drainage to slim the bodies water content. They’re also the cheapest beauty product your can buy (Boots sell them for about £1.99) – hurrah!
Just general water
Permanently have a bottle of water on you at all times. No excuses.
It’s not just what to drink but what to avoid too. Coffee and alcohol might be of the liquid variety but they’re dehydrating. Try to cut back (new years resolution time is just around the corner) – or failing that follow it with a glass of water.
