Trying to find the best foundation for oily skin is hard work – us oily skinned girls have it tough. As if dealing with a shiney complexion wasn’t stressful enough, we need something to blur our pores and conceal any acne that our excessive oil produces. It often means that our beautifully applied base has said ‘see ya!’ come lunchtime too. So not fair.
But the days of carrying around powder and having it inevitably detonate inside your handbag are over. We rigorously tested Chanel's new Le Teint Ultra Tenue liquid formula and blimey, were we impressed...
This liquid formula is indestructible. Chanel weren’t messing us about when they told us it lasts perfectly for 8 hours. I applied this at 6am and not only was it still going strong at 2pm, but none of my usual oiliness had made an appearance and I was still shine-free at 5. All credit to the absorbent powders in the formulation that zap any rogue sebum outbursts through the day. Bye bye blotting papers. Make this foundation your wing-woman from desk to drinks. It's definitely one of the best foundation for oily skin.

The coverage is amazing
If you like your foundation full coverage but hate it feeling heavy, you’ll love this. It cloaks skin in a beautiful veil, blurring pores and covering the reddest of spots, so you can forgo concealer touchups during the day (it comes in a compact version too though, if that’s more your cup of tea.)
It’s not super matte
It has a luminous finish but dries down silky and matte to touch – meaning I could skip powder/blotting paper and go straight in with a bronzer (unlike sticky foundations that don’t quite dry down once applied). The formulation left my skin feeling comfortable, without looking chalky or flat either. Finally, the kind of shine we do like. Chanel, you never let us down…
