Before Glossier launched into the UK, we knew everything about it; its history, its bestsellers and which products we were going to bulk buy. But there are some brands that appear from virtually nowhere and stop us in our tracks. Decorte, Japan’s number one bestselling skincare and cosmetics brand, is one of those. Stocked exclusively at Selfridges, this little gem is sure to be one of the store’s most exciting new brands of 2018.

What you need to know

First of all Kate Moss is the global brand ambassador and face; she has been since 2015 and fought tirelessly to get it over to the UK. Whilst this should be enough to convince you, here are a few other things that make this brand ace. It is said to have created the world’s first serum (more on that below), has been going for over 30 years and has Nobel Prize winning scientists at the front of its research. And finally, every product in its collection enhances and emphasises a person’s natural healthy, glowing skin. It’s the ultimate glow-getter.

What you need to buy

Liposome Moisture Serum, £95

This is the number one selling serum in Japan. In actual fact it's a pre-serum, so you pop it on before your normal serum and it helps the subsequent products absorbs and work better. Not bad eh? And it's super moisturising, absorbs at lightening speed and highlights skin from within.

Dip In Glow, £32

Everyone should have one of these on their person at all times. It’s a tiny weeny pot of pure glowy joy. It looks quite punchy and shiny at first glance, but is it fact a versatile highlighter with a blendable moisturising texture. Use it on the Cupid’s bow, under or over foundation, on your eyelids… the options are endless. Just buy one.

Eye Glow, £25

These creamy eye shadows are so bloody brilliant, we wish we could build them a tower and bow down in front of them. (Perhaps we’ll just settle for a Powder Beauty Award?!) They glide on seamlessly, don’t gather in your crease and perk up any makeup look. With 30 shades to choose from, you’re bound to fall in love with at least five we reckon.

The Rouge, £32

A lipstick that feels like a lipbalm, but with the colour payoff of a liquid stain. There are 20 Glow shades and five Matte. Our favourite is Rd465 (sexy name or what?!), which is a stunning red with pink undertones that is excellent when you're feeling knackered and need attention drawn away from the bags under your eyes.

We reckon this is a pretty great serum to invest in, but if you'd rather find one for under £20 take our quiz and we'll find it for you.
