As you’ve probably noticed, we’re quite partial to a bit of pink. Powder pink to be precise. So when we were told about a pink clay mask that’s been so popular, it’s been repeatedly sold out and now has a huge waiting list, we lost our shit and asked to try it out immediately.
The mask is Australian skincare brand, Sand & Sky’s, Brilliant Skin, which claims to brighten and detoxify skin in just 10 minutes. Quite bold eh? But guess what? The reason why it’s sold out and gajillions of people have signed up to the waiting list is that it well and truly works.
We tried it on a Sunday evening, having had quite the boozy weekend, not eaten many greens and just generally looked a little rubbish. It comes with a little applicator brush, which means that it’s super easy (and weirdly satisfying) to apply. The clay hardened after about five minutes and we noticed small dark patches appeared on our cheeks, forehead and chin. These little splotches were where the grime that was festering inside our pores was being drawn out. Nice, eh? So yes, it definitely detoxifies.
After the ten minutes, we removed it with warm water and a flannel. What we saw in the mirror was a much, much brighter and honestly - we’re not lying - a more even-toned face. Our pores had shrunk, we had a glow that we normally have to use a few highlighters to get and our skin was super smooth. So yes, it also brightens.
This mask is amazing. Get involved. Join that waiting list.
