Where there are limbs, there are also beauty products and this week we’ve brought you everything from the best body scrubs to our favourite body oils and more. After all, it is Powder Beauty Awards season. If you haven’t already checked out the makeup and skincare winners, where have you been? In the meantime, here’s the rest of our best in body.
1st place: Philips Lumea Prestige, £575 – Before you look at the price and click the cross in the top right hand corner of this page, hear us out. As far as hair removal prowess goes, this machine is second to none only to the (even more expensive) in-clinic lasers. It’s an IPL machine – which stands for Intense Pulsed Light – a wavelength of light that targets the hair’s pigment and kills it at the root i.e. it won’t grow back. It’s not as strong as professional IPL (that’s not allowed at home) but it does exactly the same thing: remove hair. It just takes slightly longer. It’s worth every penny, and more.
2nd place: Veet Ready to Use Wax Strips, £4.40 – Pink wax strips that take off even the shortest of hairs; don’t be without these for hair removal emergencies.
3rd place: Braun Silk-epil 9, £104.99 – The best tool if you don’t want pain or hair thanks to a wider epilator head. Enough said.
1st place: Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week mousse, £37.50 – “Heard it all before” is the universal thought a beauty editor has when they’re told that a fake tan *seriously* doesn’t smell, so it came as a surprise that this Vita Liberata dream actually doesn’t smell. Not only that but it dries really quickly, delivers a really deep but natural-looking tan (less yellow, more “I’ve-genuinely-been-in-the-sun) and it lasts ages. One for those who like to look natural but constantly bronzed (so everyone).
2nd place: St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mist, £21 – For the self-tan novices or those averse to the stuff because it just never seems to go right, there’s this wonderful mist. It imparts a really light, buildable glow and is basically foolproof.
3rd place: Skinny Tan Express Tanning Mousse, £29.99 – One hour to get a proper tan is nothing – and that’s what this one does – swapping the bad smell for coconuts.
1st place: Aromatherapy Associates Bath and Shower Oils, £45 – If you’re ever at a loss for ways to de-stress then look no further than these beyond brilliant bath and shower oils. A capful of one of these calming essential oils takes every stress-head down a peg, eases out muscles and is unbeatable at prepping the body and mind for a great night’s sleep. Try Deep Relax for the ultimate Sunday bath sesh or De-Stress Muscle for post-gym, post-work unwinding.
2nd place: Bjork and Berries Bath Salts, £27 – From one of the best Swedish brands out there, these salts contain birch and chamomile to relax the mind and little sprigs of lavender that float in your bath water.
3rd place: Elemental Herbology bath oil in Detox, £28 – The ultimate for hungover Sundays, this bath oil helps dispel toxins from your body (and soul) – prepare to feel energized.
