Topshop’s red lipstick, Rio Rio, is an excellent tomato-red that is perfect for days when you’re feeling tired and want to draw attention away from your eyes. Their annual festival collection is always in our rucksacks, as we take to the fields of Glastonbury. And their False Lash Intense mascara is so brilliant, you’d be forgiven for thinking that it costs more than its ten gold coins. But none of these are Topshop Beauty’s best-selling products.

No their top three bestsellers all fall into the same category – highlighters. We all love a product that makes us glow. Because glowy skin makes you look healthy, young and fit and everyone in the world wants to look like that. So really it’s no surprise that everyone has gone nuts for their illuminating range.

In third place is…

Powder Highlighters in Sunbeam and Horizon, £12

These are extremely wearable colours – Sunbeam is a super smooth gold and Horizon a deep shimmery bronze. Dust them on individually or buy both and lightly contour with them.

In second place is…

Chameleon Glow Eyeshadow, £9.50

The best time to wear this is after a day in the sun, when your skin is warm. The iridescence will be picked up by the last light of the day and if worn wet (dip your eyeshadow brush in water first) you’ll get a more intense finish. Dreamy and ethereal.

And in first place…

Glow Pot, £10

Every year Topshop sells so many of these, that if they were stacked on top of each other, they would reach for times the size of the Shard. They’re so popular, that Topshop can barely keep them in stock. The creamy little pot of goodness works beautifully on the high points of the face to give you that natural-looking radiance we’re all after. The originals are Gleam (gold) and Polished (white), but their new shade Fascinate (a baby pink that’s sure to strike a chord with Millennial pink lovers) is bound to be the new favourite.
