Vegan snacks that actually taste good

January is finished, but there's no need to give up on the health kick. But just because something is outrageously healthy, doesn’t mean it has to taste like grass. You can actually enjoy eating healthy snacks.

In the last decade, veganism has risen 350%. Concern for environmental stability, health and social media trending is a key reason for it. But ditching meat AND dairy leaves you extremely limited in the snack situation. It’s super tricky to find any that actually tastes good.

So whether you’re a fully-fledged vegan or are just dabbling before bikini season, these snacks are delicious and we’ll be substituting our mid afternoon kitkat for one of these from now on. As we said, they’re that good. 

Rhythm 108 Tea Biscuits Lemon and Ginger or Chocolate and Hazelnut

All the frees - dairy free, gluten free and certified organic. What an over-achiever. Made by Swiss patissiers (proof it tastes good!) it’s perfect to dunk in your almond milk tea.

Salt and Vinegar Roasted Chick Peas

These you’ll have to make yourself but they taste (almost) like crisps. Super easy you throw a can of drained chickpeas and a few generous slashes of vinegar into a pan and bring to the boil. Drain and then rub them with olive oil and salt and roast for about half an hour. High in protein and actually has flavour! Two things you don’t normally get in one food…

Hemsley and Hemsley Lemony Cashew Parsley Dip

Another DIY one and provides a welcome change to hummus. Just bung soaked cashews (leave them in a bowl of water for a couple of hours), 100ml of olive oil, 2 handfuls of parsley, clove of garlic, splash of lemon juice and 4 tbsp of water into a blender and you’ve got yourself a dip. Perfect with carrots or celery to keep your spirits up in the mid-afternoon slump.

Nakd Salted Caramel Fruit & Nut Nibbles

We wouldn’t say the whole nakd range is ‘tasty’ but these were delicious. They’re basically chunks of dried fruit and nut covered in salted caramel – what’s not to love? As well as a snack we also sprinkle it over porridge in the morning and let it melt in – heaven.


Not only are they bursting with flavour but they’re amazing for your skin too. High in anti-oxidants and vitamin A they fight ageing but also keep skin supple and glowing.
